  *HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! *

*Here is an easy recipe sure to make your mother smile. **Black velvet 
cake from my Old Dog New Chef Cookbook. *

BLACK VELVET CAKE


    *Ingredients*


          *2 cups flour*
          *2 cups sugar*
          *1 cup cocoa*
          *1 teaspoon salt*
          *2-1/2 teaspoons baking soda*
          *1 cup vegetable oil*
          *1 cup buttermilk*
          *2 tablespoons white vinegar*
          *2 eggs*
          *1 cup very hot water*
          *1 teaspoon vanilla*
          *extra flour for dusting pans*

*Directions*


          1. Preheat oven to 350*
          2. Mix all dry ingredients together
          3. Mix in oil
          4. Mix in eggs
          5. Mix in soued milk
          6. Mix in very hot water
          7. Mix in vanilla
          8. Grease the pan you are using and dust with flour
          9. Pour into a 10 inch round baking pan or a 9 X 9 in. square pan
          10.Bake at 350* for about 45 min
