This is the final forwarded comment on "Today In Florida History." Some
good news, maybe. Perhaps a suggested co-sponsorship between the Florida
Historical Society and the Bureau of Historic Preservation will come to
fruition and we can expand the offerings.

I am on the same page with Margo Pope. I think this service should be
continued.
In fact, I strongly believe that a course in Florida history should be
required of all
students at State Supported Institutions of Higher Learning. I came from
Pennsylvania to the Fort Valley State University many years ago, and had to
take a state-mandated Georgia history course. It did me a lot of good!!!
With so many people entering the Sunshine state with no knowledge of Florida
history, they should be required to take a care before they graduate.
May be we might have people looking at Florida as a state with a dynamic
history
instead of simply a Mickey Mouse place where we can't count ballots!!!
